Forensic Disability Support Worker

CareChoice provides 24 hour support making a variety of different shifts available, including mornings, afternoons, active nights, sleepovers and weekends. We focus on providing the right person, on time, every time to contribute towards our clients achieving their goals.The Role:Due to client relocation we are seeking Forensic Disability Support Workers to provide support in the Eastern suburbs of Oakleigh South. This role is primarily focused on the behavioural management of forensic clients who have a disability and an offending background. You will assist them to integrate back into the community by implementing treatment strategies and engaging with them.If you are a passionate, experienced Forensic Support Worker who wants work/life balance and to make a real difference in someone’s life, then we have a place for you at CareChoice.Duties:Your tasks may include but not be limited to the following:Behavioural management (physical and verbal aggression & sexualised)Coordinate and implement social outingsAssist clients who are subject to court orderBuild rapport and actively engage with client (set boundaries)Essential requirements for this role include:Formal training in Forensic Disability and experience working with Forensic Disability clients who have an offending backgroundPrevious experience working with Challenging Behaviours including aggression and sexualised behavioursAn understanding of Personality Disorders would be highly advantagousMandatory Documentation:Willing to obtain a new National Police Check at the time of your recruitment processA current First Aid Level II Certificate - inclusive of CPRA current EMPLOYEE Working With Children Check (Victorian)An International Police Check (where applicable)The ability to pass a DWES registry check
